The Forest Parish
The Forest, Guernsey's second smallest parish, is home to about 1,700 people out of a total island population of about 60,000. Although proud of being a rural parish, the airport and associated businesses take up a large chunk. The parish schools, the family owned Forest Stores and the parish church are central to the community, while there is also a large motor car agency and a branch of the Co-Op, both with fuel pumps. Two other churches, three pubs (two of 'gastro' variety), a hotel and the unique Occupation Museum are all noteworthy parish establishments.
